The trail

Thirteen worlds. One walk.

Thirteen regional kitchens laid out as one path through the grounds, from Himalayan smoke to the kitchens of the Indian diaspora.

  1. 01

    Himalayan
    Foraging Belt

Mountain kitchens, forest ingredients, smoked meats and forgotten recipes: earthy flavours and monastic traditions shaped by the Himalayas.

  2. 02

    North Eastern
    Smoke Trail

Enter India’s wildest kitchens, where bamboo, smoke, fermentation and fire meet indigenous ingredients and the untamed, ancestral food cultures of the Northeast.

  3. 03

    Undivided Kitchens
    of Dilli & Punjab

The kitchens of undivided Punjab and Dilli, where food carries migration, memory and community, from tandoors to refugee recipes carried across borders and generations.

  4. 04

    Western
    Coastal Trail

Travel India’s western coastline through kitchens shaped by the sea and centuries of exchange, where Indian, African, Jewish, Portuguese and Arab influences meet.

  5. 05

    Southern Ghats &
    Coastal Trail

From the Western and Eastern Ghats to the coast, where mountains, forests, spice routes and the sea give us heirloom ingredients, seafood and coconut-rich curries.

  6. 06

    The Ganges
    Civilization Trail

Follow the Ganges through the foods, rituals and kitchens that have flourished on its banks for centuries, from pilgrim meals to river fish and forgotten recipes.

  7. Three days endless experiences.
    One weekend

  8. 07

    Bengal &
    Eastern Delta

Where rivers, monsoons, poetry and nostalgia come together on the plate, from grandmother’s kitchens and river fish to the iconic streets of Kolkata.

  9. 08

    The Desert
    Caravan Trail

How India’s desert communities turned scarcity into extraordinary cuisine with fire, smoke, grains and preserved ingredients, and flavours born on the caravan routes.

  10. 09

    Forest & Tribal
    Heartland Trail

Step into India’s forests, where indigenous communities cook with what the land provides: wild ingredients, leaf cooking, wood fire and ancestral recipes rarely seen.

  11. 10

    The Temple And
    Sattvik Trail

Sacred kitchens shaped by ritual, season and ancient wisdom: temple prasadam, sattvik feasts, forgotten grains and recipes that were offerings before they were cuisine.

  12. 11

    The Great
    Indian Streets

India at its loudest, fastest and most delicious, one stall and late-night craving at a time: chaat, kebabs, rolls, bun maska, soda and the glorious chaos of the street.

  13. 12

    The Royal Kitchens
    Of India

The grand kitchens of India’s royal households, where elaborate feasts, secret recipes and generations of craft created food for kings, courts and celebrations.

  14. 13

    Beyond
    Borders

Meet the culinary minds reimagining India through collaborations, forgotten recipes and modern interpretations, as chefs and ideas explore the future of Indian food.

Walk all thirteen.

Only a three-day trail pass covers the whole map without rushing.

From the founders

India has never had one kitchen. It has thousands.

They’re tucked into hill villages and coastal homes, royal courtyards and roadside stalls, temple towns and forest hearths. Each one carries a memory, a ritual, a way of life. Yet for all our pride in Indian food, there has never been a single place where you could walk through all of it.

That’s why we created GIFT — The Great Indian Feast Trail.

GIFT isn’t a food festival in the usual sense. It’s a journey across 13 regional immersive trails, where every dish comes with its story, its people and its art and culture. We’ve travelled, searched and listened to bring you the cooks, chefs and home kitchens who keep these traditions alive, so that what you taste is real, rooted and rarely seen outside its home.

Come hungry. Come curious. Bring the people you love. Over three days at Jio World Garden, we invite you to taste India the way it was always meant to be experienced: one region, one story, one plate at a time.

This is our gift to you.

Portrait of Khushbu Vaid

Khushbu Vaid

Co-founder, The Experience Edit

Khushbu Vaid is a cultural entrepreneur and experienced architect whose career spans more than two decades at the refined intersection of events, hospitality, regional culture and live storytelling. As Co-Founder of The Experience Edit, Co-Founder of Pentagon Events & Activations, and Founder of Quintessence Coaching & Experiences, she has consistently transformed conceptual ambition into meticulously crafted audience journeys. Her investment in Lucknowee Tunday Kababee, a restaurant rooted in the culinary heritage of Lucknow, has further deepened her understanding of the hospitality ecosystem, marrying commercial acuity with an instinctive appreciation for authenticity and provenance.

What resonates most profoundly with her is the opportunity presented by The Great Indian Feast Trail: the creation of an original Indian cultural intellectual property that elevates the nation’s extraordinary culinary depth into an immersive, contemporary experience. Under her guidance, the platform deliberately brings recognised chefs into meaningful dialogue with home cooks, tribal and temple practitioners, heritage keepers and artisan producers whose work is seldom presented at scale. Every participant is selected for the integrity of their story, the depth of their knowledge and their capacity to contribute to a cohesive, multi-sensory journey, ensuring that scale never compromises authenticity.

Recognised through the prestigious WOW Awards for Pentagon, as a finalist at She Unltd by The Times of India, and nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year by EventFAQs, Khushbu continues to shape experiences of lasting resonance. Through The Great Indian Feast Trail, she realises a long-held vision: an intelligent, elegant and enduring platform that renders India’s culinary diversity not merely visible, but unforgettable, both within the country and on the international stage.

Portrait of Riyaz Sayed

Riyaz Sayed

Co-founder & spokesperson

Over nearly three decades, Riyaz Sayed has built businesses across industries, driven by a consistent instinct for identifying commercial potential and the right people to bring an idea to life. The Mumbai-based entrepreneur and investor, with over 27 years of experience, has developed interests spanning events and experiential marketing, hospitality, infrastructure, biotechnology and chemicals, and commodity trading. His journey began with Pentagon Events and has since expanded to Legends Infra-Venture, Golden Spoon Lucknowee Tunday Kababee Mumbai, Silperox Bio Chem, Fresh Commodity Trade and The Experience Edit. His foundation in live entertainment, brand experiences and large-format events taught him how an idea moves from paper to something thousands can experience, an instinct that continues to shape his approach to business.

Sayed has consistently entered sectors on the strength of the opportunity rather than familiarity with the category. His move into hospitality through Golden Spoon Lucknowee Tunday Kababee Mumbai brought him closer to a business he had long been drawn to, offering direct exposure to restaurant operations, consumer behaviour, heritage brand building and the commercial realities of sustaining a food business. With The Experience Edit, co-founded as a platform for original experiential intellectual properties, he shifted from creating experiences for other organisations to owning them. His belief is that concepts rooted in India can carry genuine cultural relevance and consumer appeal while being built as scalable, sustainable businesses. His interests extend beyond Mumbai and India into Dubai, Australia and the United Kingdom, shaping his view of Indian intellectual properties and their potential to travel.

Today, as Spokesperson for The Great Indian Feast Trail, Sayed is taking the next step in a journey defined by building across sectors. The platform aims to discover India’s culinary custodians — the home cooks, tribal and temple kitchens, artisans and regional practitioners whose knowledge has rarely reached a national audience — and create real economic opportunity for them. His ambition is not simply to create another food festival, but to build an enduring Indian intellectual property capable of travelling across the country and, eventually, to the world. For Sayed, the next venture is always another opportunity to turn an idea into something people can experience.

Portrait of Sapangeet Rajwant

Sapangeet Rajwant

Co-founder, The Experience Edit

For Sapangeet Rajwant, building a brand has never been an exercise in executing external briefs. It is an act of cultural translation. With a career spanning more than twenty-three years across the upper echelons of India’s media and entertainment landscape — most recently as the Marketing and Digital Head for the Hindi Mass Entertainment Cluster at Viacom18 — she has consistently proven that the most enduring commercial properties are those rooted in genuine human connection.

Her transition from the corporate suite to entrepreneurship marks the birth of The Experience Edit, a venture that fundamentally disrupts the traditional live entertainment model. Moving away from service-led event production, the company operates on a mandate of strict intellectual property ownership. The Experience Edit conceives, owns and scales original, highly portable live formats designed as “inhabitable worlds”, ranging from large-scale cultural festivals and sensory pop-ups to curated culinary and wellness journeys.

As Co-Founder, Sapangeet anchors the commercial scale of these IPs with the creative instincts that defined her corporate legacy. Her strategic blueprint relies heavily on a unique methodology of deep consumer immersion. Years spent on the ground in the Hindi Heartland, immersing herself directly within communities to observe how families live, aspire and respond to narrative structures, now serve as the operational foundation for the company’s portfolio. This includes their flagship property, The Great Indian Feast Trail (GIFT), which transforms regional culinary heritage into a living, breathing entertainment ecosystem.

A seven-time consecutive recipient of the Top 50 Women Achievers in India award and a frequent honouree at national CMO accolades, Sapangeet’s career remains defined by deliberate reinvention. Through this new chapter, she is pioneering a distinct economic category in India’s experiential landscape, transforming complex consumer insights into premium, long-term brand equity.
